Words for Warm Fronts hash Bridford Inn 20th October 2025

 

Having travelled the length of the Teign Valley ( Home of TVH3 ) we came to the diversion for Bridford. This turned out to be the longest, narrowest ,uphill diversion we had ever driven. When we finally arrived at The Bridford Inn, the car park looks almost empty, and due mainly to the weather, we thought it could be a low turn out.

 

Then out of the pub door in true hashing fashion came the pack of hashers, having had a pint or two before the run. At this point the hare Warm Front also appeared having rode her bike from home.

 

The circle was quickly assembled to listen to the usual dribble from Pocket Rocket and Man Pig. Warm Front then explained her trail and we were off. I walked with Pocket Rocket, Archangel and Forest, with Piltdown and Georgie doing a running walking kind of thing.

 

The long and shorts which included Beefy, Soapy, Pisswell, Well Hopped, Bigend , Man Pig, Swinger, Erection, Wet Jonny, Woodlend, Ernie, SMellie, Sam and PDM shot on by. The walk was well marked and had a serious amount of off road and so too was the long and short. 

 

On trail Forrest was heard to say he was not feeling great, so would take his sausage and chips home to eat. About an hour later after a couple of pints he was leading the down downs and generally conducting proceedings. Beer is definitely medicinal.
