The Primrose Trail....
Ilsington Mon.22nd April. William “Point Four” & I had devised a very cunning route all around the Ilsington village area, with some outstanding views across the local countryside, along paths through the woodlands all with primrose displays around us! His favorite obstacle course at the old mine Pump Station with its steep spoil slopes and a log crossing over stream were all included. Plus a good long run in for the “Long” past his Forest School camp. The pack took all this in its stride and had a great workout plus a sweet stop which was very strictly supervised by “Point Four” ! supported by “Hovel Annie”. At the Carpenters Arms after some excellent value food, DDs were awarded to “Point Four” and I for the trail, (I split mine but he drank his water straight down!) also to Archangel for assisting a reversing resident?? Mohican for not expecting a soft one (sweets) and a naming for Martyn for that On-On call! now named “Deep Throat” Pictured is “Point Four” blinded by the flash, giving away the last of the sweets and “Deep Throat” polishing off his DD.
