# 1671 on Mon 19th Dec. at The Kings Arms, Kingsteignton with Hare: WIDE RECEIVER.
This was also our BIG CHRISTMAS DRAW evening organised by SATNAV. After Circling up for destructions! we headed off on what was described as a fairly short trail, firstly On towards the Clay Pits, but then turning into the housing area where WIDE's devious trail lead us a merry dance around the houses, tracks and back alleys, with so many false trails that the mileage was growing steadily although I thought I knew this area! and to matters worse finding myself constantly behind TEAPOT! After going round and round back and forth we finally emerged from a narrow passage 100 yards from the pub to discover that all that back and forth had cunningly spelt CHRISTMAS if you had traced it on a GPS phone, a merry run it really was!
Back inside the Kings Arms SATNAV and team had set up the Draw prizes, names sheet, sold the last tickets and were all ready to go, but first the Down Downs which were awarded to:-
WINFIELD for moving his car 4 times before being finally parked. (actually it was only 3!)
WIDE RECEIVER for that ingenious “CHRISTMAS” trail.
S.M.ELLIE for going back to her car, only to never find the trail again!
ARCHANGEL for at last receiving his 600Runs badge
On next the Prize Draw with the “helpers” moving quickly around as the Pack drew out the tickets,
Soon it was all over and his year I was not as lucky as last in claiming a Jack Daniels bottle, but the Shortbread tasted great later! After the usual excellent food it was time to give our Christmas wishes to all and head On Home!
A great evening well done well done to WIDE RECIVER and SATNAV for organising this.
On to next week a joint hash with AH3 at 5pm TUESDAY 27th Dec: 12 Pubs of Christmas from the Railway Inn, Newton Abbot, Hares: Bogof & Gromit 5pm!
Regret I will not be there as it will be time to hit the beaches in the Caribbean
