Well, finally the Werds appeared.
Last Monday 22nd, it was almost my birthday, a mere 24 hrs late and i don't blame u all at all for that. We travelled far East, to the village of Exminster where a great gaggle gathered and BeeFlicker gave me a ribbon to wear, Best Poodle or something. There was the usual chatting about stuff, trail and the like, and a latecomer arrived, "i'm Speedy", i live here, and i also work in the pub. We all cheered. His name is on.
Out and On to the Right, we trundled thrugh the peaceful village and admired all the lovely gardens and the historic Mental Asylum residential conversions, voting each other in and out of need of it. It was Hot, but as some of us are British we only muttered this quietly. We went round most Exminster houses following a Super Trail, and found a Latin inscribed church coffin rest bench, i taught Forrest how to read this, and he accidentally changed this story later to give me a downdown.
We galloped on and learned new plants, i lost most hashers but managed to catch MissInn under the motorway bridge to tell her all about the climbers who climbed the 4" crack along its length, upside down like spiders on its ceiling. We lapped up the estuary, and bounced on the Topsham ferry bridge, then Pisswell "never minded" the [rowdy] Bullocks like the country gal she is, we ran directly to the Pub and muttered delightedly about the Heat at 9pm.
Then the really smiley barmaid brought out a cake for some old codger, and it turned out i was much older than i realised, but managed to blow out the candles before my rapid beer. Speedy received a downdown from Warmfront, and drank a bit before choosing to wear most of it. I got one for teaching Forrest Latin. As did the Hare, cos his trail was Smashing (as always). Lovely to drive east for a change, always nice to go new places.
Thanks for sharing a tasty birthday cake, u are all such a lovely [mad] bunch Psycho, age 80ish.
Oh and Forrest got his own downdown, i think for eating a children's toy, and whilst forgetting which limbs he has/hasn't got. If i remember correctly, which I certainly do.
Psycho x
