The monks retreat, Broadhempston, hash on Monday 24th August with hare Fuckarwe.
So not sure what hash number it was
or who was there. Where was Manpig? No body mentioned the words.
Somehow,
because I put my hand up in the pub, here are the half hearted words.
(I thought I was answering, who wants another beer?)
Who woz there?
Well, as usual most of Broadhempston! Does he pay them? How does Fuckarwe do it? The pub opened for us. There was food.
Unfortunately,
no virgins were really welcomed or anointed with flour, but he would
probably have used more flour on them than was used on trail!
We
also had no Beefy as hash-flash and so I’m not sure who actually was
there. So this week we will do an experiment. Please sign below in
comments if you were there and what you thought of the trail!
SMEllie
asked for hares, Pisswell reminded about the Rails and Ales beer
festival at Staverton on the bank holiday weekend. She also asked for
pirates to say aaarrrr if they had stolen and not paid for their fish
fingers the week before.
The hare said his stuff and we were off!
The trail
We
turned left from the pub and down the lane. There were few
opportunities for checks but those laid were very effective in getting
rid of some longs for a bit as I eventually saw them later. We followed
the green lane from Beaston to Halswell and stayed above Forder green to
join Blackwell lane for a short while before cutting across into some
beautiful woodland. We were above a small reservoir, Pyscho swang in the
trees and i used my weight on the other swing to prevent a black eye!
Then we climbed uphill and overtook, and got overtaken by the rest of
the hash. The sweetie stop and view point were extremely welcome at
beacon hill. Archangel and I found a lovely downhill trail but not sure
what happened then. He returned to the down down, whilst I managed
another loop around the village. People were returning in the darkness
from all directions, in various degrees of excitement and exhaustion! I
thought it was a great hash, recognising a few places, but doing some
trails that I’d been planning to do. A great mixture, terrain,
viewpoints, and hashing needs all ticked!
The Down downs:
After sausage and chips, Forrest RA’d and thanked the pub for the beer
1.
The first down down went to the lucky farmer at the bar, who was
invited by Pisswell to go outside and be initiated on behalf of all the
virgins in the room. Sorry, Fuckarwe, I probably used all of your next
trails worth of flour! He received the helicopter hat from Pisswell
2.
Next Triplejump offered the elephant hat to Piltdown man. He had seen
liquid coming from under a car and had tasted it, to see what it was! He
hasn’t died yet, and we know because we were there for the next few
hours whilst he drank his down down!
3.
Next was Warmfront for her birthday the next day. It appears she had
been to the Broadhempston beer festival on Saturday, ran a marathon on
Sunday and was a bit the worse for wear! Not sure which event was
responsible? We sang happy birthday with all of the right notes in the
wrong order.
4. And lastly the hare. Another amazing trail from Fuckarwe and a truly wonderful evening. Thank you.
On on to next week at Newfoundland way car park with Beeflicker.
Please bring headtorches to reduce the likehood of going off trail or the hare getting us all lost!
On on, Pisswell x
