Monday 20th May: First select venue, then when pack arrive to find no Hare and no Trail, phone in from somewhere else with instructions. “Mission Impossible” ? Pack then jump into cars and race to new venue! A few stayed at the Sea Trout and did their own thing, which involved wading across a river! The rest sped off to Landscove to join the many other Hasher's who were not party to this new system, including 4 Harriet’s from Haldon H3! Poacher’s eventual trail took in some road and at the L/S split, the short decided to made their own way back to Staverton! The rest of us were led across fields to woodland and on through orchards and along tracks which was enjoyable on a good sunny evening.Back at the Sea Trout a cheerful atmosphere prevailed with stories from the alternative Trails being recounted.Time to make the awards! First up was Poacher for organising this “special event”? DDs also to Mellon Picker, it was his ?0 birthday that day.To Forrest for leading the breakaway group and to yours truly, for knocking over one of the pubs car park lamps.. it was already broken!
At the end Poachers efforts turned into a good evening for all!
On On to Rent Boys Big BBQ, with singer to entertain us, next week!
