Rent Boy's Big BBQ....
Monday 27th May: Unfortunately the weather was a little unkind to us this year, but despite the rain, the Pack plus a good contingent of visitors prepared themselves for the Trail. Off we set around Kingskerswell along narrow passageways, around the playing fields and then up into woodland across the common with more lanes to finish. There was a very welcomed RUM stop along the way which at least warmed us up from the inside! Eventually back to Park Road where after shedding the wet clothing, we were able to enjoy the good food and beer on offer all dispensed to us by Rent Boys family and helpers, which at the same time raised funds for PORT-ER, the Exeter based charity for amputees. (a total of £300 was raised from our evening) As we warmed up inside the marquee with its pyramid flame heater we were entertained by the excellent singer Anasis. At the interval Rambo presented a £750 cheque to a PORT-ER representative, being part of the monies raised from his Coastal Marathon event. The triple Down Down bar was again utilised this time for MANPIG, BOGGY and FORREST all for various offences during the evening. Many thanks to RENT BOY, BOGGY and all for organising another first class event !Here the Rum stop " you asked for more!" and some getting protection from that rain! and Boggy finally gets his drink !
