Mon 10th March
Circle at Morrison ’s CP, Totnes Hares Wigwam & Migman. We soon
discovered that as Migman could not make it the infamous Blues Brothers
(Bluebird and Bobby Ball ) had been drafted in to assist? admitting firstly at
the Circle that as the mountainous Cat Litter supply had finally run out a new
source of marking was also to be used… some not so finely cut wood chippings, which
he sampled all over the waiting Pack! There were many returnees at the circle
plus one new Harriet introduced by Archangel who we also congratulated, along with Wide Receiver, Rambo & Doris,
Zoot, Hotlips, Zorro and Twinkle Toes for having completed the 20 mile Grizzly
run the previous day. Soapy now elected Hash Cash enforcer asked for immediate
payment of our subs, or a weekly £ payment would be expected from all those not
paid up! (She knows who you are!)
The Blues trail led the Short
off towards Dittisham, while the Longs with Wide R and Flowery leading did a
mile loop the other way, eventually turning back along the Dart to catch them
up at the regroup high in the storm hit woodlands. After this we headed down towards
the twisting river bank footpaths, bordered on either side by banks of
snowdrops “must be beautiful in daylight” one Hasher called, but I had to keep
my eyes on the trail or a fall was certain! Soon we were back in Totnes and off
to the very welcoming Albert Inn not named, as expected after Prince Albert , looking down from the pub sign was Albert Einstein .
The landlord looked after us
well, with good beers and food to revive us.
The DD’s were awarded to
ABLE SEMEN for shopping at the circle.
UBEND for eating the wrapper
at the sweet stop! PIDDLER for doing something rude at the regroup SOAPY in
appreciation of her 'enforcing' the subs payments!
A presentation from ZOOT of cakes
and a card from us, to DORIS and RAMBO on achieving their 25th Grizzly
Run
A great evening well done to
all!
