11th August Lawrence Castle, Haldon Belvedere for
SLACKER's first “Lay” A good turnout almost boosted by another 8
young ladies, unfortunately they were doing their own thing! After a
successful search for WARM FRONT'S keys joining at the Circle were
several several visiting Hasher plus Bobby Ball, called forward to
show us his new sparkling clean bike which was duly anointed with
flour by TEA POT. Slacker had devised a great well marked two and on
trail for us, leading around Tower Wood with a mixture of narrow
paths and obstacles to scramble over, plus some good open and
challenging runs along the Forest Roads with a very refreshing Sweet
Stop on a great trail! At the Bishop Lacey OD there were the usual wide
choice of real ales plus the excellent wrapped fish and chip offer to
enjoy.The
following “lucky” few were awarded Down-Downs firstly to :-
SLACKER
himself for a great first lay.
WARM
FRONT being first lady at the Great West Trail Run and losing her
keys!
ARCHANGEL
seen taking a “leak” mid trail.

HUMP for what always seems like lifetime finally receiving her 50
Runs badge
