Mon 4th Aug. at The Silly Goose Dawlish Warren for
Pollyfella's 3 or 6 miler. There were several returnees to the pack
for this trail, plus a visitor “BAGS of MORE” from the Cheltenham
& Cotswold H3. On-On with an immediate split taking the Longs off
towards Dawlish along Lady's Mile footpath, while the Shorts headed
to the VP with a steep climb to the top of the Langstone Rock. Next
we were heading along the Warren Beach trying to find the firmest
running path on the soft sand, as we headed round the end of the Spit
with Exmouth now within touching distance. The Sweet Stop on the Exe
estaury side of the Point gave us a chance for a photo call in the
evening sun before we headed back through the dunes, once frequented
by the naturists and TEA POT (see later) but none spotted tonight!
