On-On into 2015 .....

First Hash of 2015 Newfoundland Way Newton Abbot where Hare Archangel claimed this the best run of 2015! describing his trail as “mainly flat and soft underfoot” Hasher's had turned up in tonight's milder weather in various gear some like PIDDLER in shorts and a T-shirt while others were well wrapped up, as we set off on the trail which was far from "flat" as we gasped our way up a steep climb to Wolborough then on to Decoy Woods where the "soft underfoot" turned out to be deep shiggy! On On up and up hill then more “soft” shiggy before we reached the L/S split at Wolborough church, with great views here over Newton. We found our way along the top footpath then at last a fast steep “mind your ankles” charge down the fields back into town.
Inside the OD Teign Cellars, unlike two weeks ago, we almost had the bar to ourselves with time to survey the cabinets of fine bottled beers some at £10 a bottle! The excellent buffet was well received with more food than we could eat although PIDDLER seated at the table spread was trying hard to clear it. DD's were awarded to....ARCHANGEL for the best lay of 2015 ! BOBBY BALL for losing his special bottle of beer! MIGMAN nominated a reluctant ? MOULDY to drink for him! the final DD went to GEORGY P ORGY for asking the Hare if it (the trail) would be....Too Long and Hard ?
