Run No 1592 on Mon 29th June we met at Bovey Tracey Swimming Pool on a
brilliant evening for a run and swim, a good turnout for this including
six visiting Hasher’s. Soapy & Melon Picker's trail, a short one, as
we wanted to make the most of our funded swimming time led us through
Bovey Park out across footpaths, passing the gravestone of a Royalist
Officer who fell at the battle of Bovey Heath in 1645. On On through a
farm along the Templer Way following a well marked trail with
some nasty check-backs! eventually winding our way back to the football
club. As we had time to spare before our pool session started there was
time for the DDs which were awarded to visitor WHISPERER for being
naked and we hadn’t started swimming yet! To DAMP PATCH for being late,
U-BEND for using his bike. SOAPY for that short trail. Once we were in
the pool and it was thankfully heated, a lot of splashing about before
PIDDLER tried to organised two teams for an over and under ball race
across the pool, which almost worked! Getting exhausted now we headed
out to the football club for a few beers and our delicious picnic’s
Well done Soapy and Mellon Picker for an excellent evening.
