Run No 1612 from the Crown and Sceptre St Marychurch with the Mystery
Hare's who turned out to be new Hares ( for us) SNOWY and SKIP with an
excellent trail. A good turnout for this event with several visitors
plus two Virgin Hasher’s (although after a short while with them after
the start explaining the marks did not see them again or later, but hope
the will return?) DORIS gave a few words in French giving our support
for the people in Paris. The pairs trail was very devious,
catching us all out from the start form the usual routes, the well
marked trail eventually took up past King George playing fields, then
slipping and sliding we made our way SNOWY was getting concerned now as
the FRB's were getting too far ahead “do we do Fishhooks?”,.Yes, and off
he sped towards Petit Tor in hot pursuit. We were then almost back
Home before going down into more woodland trails under the Cliff Railway
down to Oddicombe Beach slipping and sliding on those wet wooden
bridges along to the Cary Arms and a long gasping climb with FUKAWE WET
JONNIE and SHRIVEL up to the theatre at the top, along on to Walls Hill
eventually turning back through Cary Park and On-Home in the heavy rain.
At the pub SNOWY was concerned that as the pack had split up would they
all make back? But I think they did, or went home to dry off! Those who
did make the pub were dried and revived with some good beer and tasty
sandwiches. Time now for ABLE SEMEN to sell a few more Raffle numbers me
add another member our growing Christmas Party numbers. A few non
running members had now joined us including PARAPRICK who was later
selected for a DD with these:-
TEAPOT - shunting his car back and forth endlessly ready to make a swift escape!
PEANUT - asking for an announcement several times about the Rowcroft Pie and Mash Gig!
DEEP THROAT- keeping WIDE company? on trail (He could not shake him off !)
ARCHANGEL- late to the Hash again on that bike! ...nothing changes.
PARAPRICK - A “non runner” welcome with a remembrance drink from us all to RB one of our great Hasher's
Very well done to SNOWY and SKIP for a great trail, looking forward to
your next lay the week after next from the Devon Dumpling
