Hash No 1623 on a very breezy night atop of Little Haldon, some had
difficulty in finding it ! others in dodging the giant entrance boulders
guarding this remote CP. but in the end good to see the CP full. Hares
Piltdown Man and Georgy P'Orgy's well marked trail (in spite of the
recent rain) led us around the open moor along the muddy flooded tracks
dodging the gorse and rocks with plenty of checks to slow the FRB's Then
over to Tower Plantation losing the twisting trail, as that
X spotted by PIDDLER was found to be a L/S split.! On-On through even
deeper mud trying and failing to keep upright as we wound our way
through the trees to another L/S split, decided here to go Short ( lack
of fitness and that extra weight was now telling ) uphill now to a lane
and then thankfully a final waterlogged trail lead us back to the CP.
At the OD at Dicey Reilleys in Teignmouth the landlord ha laid on an
excellent buffet, which was much appreciated.
Time for the DD's which were awarded to
ABLE SEMEN for that 3 point turn on the main road, drinking up with a watching Leprechaun!
PILTDOWN MAN joint Hare, drank up so very slowly, so we decided to watch the TV!
MELLON PICKER who forgot his change of shoes and had to drink from his muddy trainers.
SLIP-On-ME for running in those posing boots plus a Birthday song to go with it.
Well done the Hares for an excellent off road trail and buffet.
On-On to next week at the Jolly Sailor, East Ogwell, Hare: Bobbiball
