Run No 1624 on 1st Feb, Circle up at The Jolly Sailor East Ogwell
another good turnout, this time for a BOBBIEBALL trail, with again
several visiting Hasher’s, good to see the return of POACHER with GAME
BIRD also present was FUKAWE in new trainers (oh dear!) as BOBBIE later
described his trail as “mud more mud and a river crossing” On-On now
decided to go Long, but after meeting the first hill wished I hadn’t, on
lanes eventually through someones garden into Broadbridge Wood
and that mud, out into a meadow where I tripped over what must have
been the only piece of wood there. A tough uphill "run" now into
Broadlands Estate and then into Bradley Woods with a river crossing and
even more mud, about here my headtorch packed up but thankfully UBEND
and LADY BOUY were near me to guide an old codger! It was a steep up
hill climb from here, with screams from below as the pack also became
bogged down, finally onto open fields but there was more mud before we
came to East Ogwell. In the CP stood TEAPOT in his under pants asking
for help! SOAPY offered but this time it was his missing cross that he
wanted, after a long search MIGMAN thankfully spotted it. Inside the
Jolly Sailor ballot papers a were issued for our Awards night and being
swiftly posted into a very smart ballot box. An excellent buffet
followed later with
the DDs awarded to the following offenders :-
SATNAV- reversing her car almost under a parked lorry! (now needs sensors as well as a satnav.)
SLIP-on-ME- addressing ARCHANGEL by his nerd name ( another DD after last week! )
GAME BIRD-still struggling with a weekend hangover and now allergic? this manfully drunk by POACHER.
WET FART “the only athlete on the Hash” awarded his 900 Runs?? badge posing in the latest fashion in socks.
Well done BOBBIE for an excellent evening, never seen so much mud!
On On to next week, Circle up at the Penn Inn Pub Newton Abbot Hares:- Zoot & Hotlips
