billed as “a three bagger.?? One to four miles. 100% OFF road with Bluebells and Wild Garlic provided for your enjoyment” and a Sweet and Biscuit Stop. Wiggers cunning winding trail led us into Cockington Park up and around the woodland with L/S splits, where I decided as it was going to be off road I would try to stick with the Longs this time! The Long was soon back with the Short at Warren Barton Camping Barn, followed by an “up and downer” which quickly showed how unfit I was! going up and down through in Manscombe Woods amongst the wild garlic. Eventually we reached the Sweet Stop where the Marshmallows proved very popular with ZOOT and SATNAV, Well at least they couldn’t talk now said HOTLIPS. On-On to Scadson Woods where there was some sliding and tripping over the tree roots as we wound our way up and down and along a well known AC training route, until off trail and up a new technical cycle route where somewhere the Short and Long met but am not sure if it was FUKAWI, WHISPERER or POLLYFELLA at the front who led us back into the Short trail! Finding the correct trail again we headed back to Manscombe Woods, now following a remarked trail, which once again we lost somewhere down by the lakes before finding that On-Home mark. At the Drum Inn it was decided to hold the DD's outside not sure if this was forced on us or someone thought it was mid summer!
Proceedings commenced with the first DD award going to
