Hash No 1734 --- The Wellington- Ipplepen with Hares Wet Johnny & Manoause
Fifteen Hardy Hardcore Hashers battled the Beast from the East 2 and made it through ice and snow to the Wellington – Ipplepen. Eleven strong from Teign Valley HH and 4 guests from yonder Haldon HH joined the intrepid warriors of the strong right arm.
Hash No 1734 --- The Wellington- Ipplepen with Hares Wet Johnny & Manopause closed her eyes while Piltdown slid across it finally resting car in the hedge. Hashers supporting each other down the icy slope gathered on a sheet of black ice outside the pub. Visitors McFee and Polecat sporting modifications to their trainers which helped them stay upright. Clever that Haldon lot!
69 answered a question about football? Barcelona I think and won a pint- though he wasn’t in the pub to collect it?! Advised that the trail was shortish and a bit icy we set off.
Few took the longs- I foolishly did! Eagerly following the visiting FRB’s out of Ipplepen. However my Bambi on ice antics were clearly not impressive as they abandoned me and sped off into the distance! Fearing further insult to injury (being run over) I skated sheepishly back to find the Shorts receiving directions from Slip On Me with her poorly ear. Not finding the Shorts I had my own adventure in the woods through lovely snow and shiggy, did a quick solo snow angel on the common and all was well.
Back at the pub were 10 Hashers true (and 3 puppies!) News of Broken Man and Fallen Woman’s noble attempt to reach the hash reached us. RA Man Pig awarded two down downs. Nominations went to Melon Picker for getting lost. I thought that was my job?! and Polecat for her sensible foot attire. There was also rumour that Wide Receiver is gender unknown? But more of that next week.
Manopause awarded Nick the Unnamed the Pillock T shirt for his feeble virgin attempt of laying a trail. Despite his communication on WhatsApp he was a Nobby no show! Wet Johnny got the other down down for trail laying.
Thanks to Wet Johnny and Manopause for braving the elements and laying a truly winter trial.
Please note that due to the inclement conditions the AGPU will now be on Monday 23rd April at Ipplepen. Please think about any nominations for our 2018 Committee.
Next week - Bishopsteignton where there is a very posh Cock Haven? on Monday 26th March
