26th March-Hares:Piltdown Man and Georgy'P Orgy,-Scribe Winfield
Circle up for Run1735 at The Cockhaven Arms a venue where Pottsie and laid my first trail on Run No.135.
A good keen turnout in-spite of a damp evening, at our Circle GM
Piltdown welcomed three maids! invited by Shitfaced and duly doused by
Teapot.
GM's question the new price for a first class stamp is now 65p, how much would that cost in old money? Many amounts were called by non correct...equivalent value now £10.12
On-On on the pairs trail with 3 L/S splits and a Sweet Stop and look
out for that snowball? taking the second long I found Bobbiball and
myself at Flow Point where fortunately at low tide you can pick your way
between the rocks and seaweed along the shore to Luxton Steps.
Next
a very muddy footpath led us to the main road, where later the 3 arrow
marks here took the following Pisswell and dog along the road towards
Newton Abbot! With local knowledge Bobbi and I headed over to the park
and on towards the woodland climb.
It was a long testing gasping
trek up and up and you certainly needed torches now to find your way to
the top. Here there had been a sweet stop but no longer...until Piltdown
in car appeared with Broken Man offering some much needed revival.
Pisswell finally appeared having survived her ordeal along the main
road, but not to be deterred when Bobbi and I took the next turning down
towards Bishop she decided to press on Long up towards Haldon, this was
the last we saw of until much much later when she finally made it into
the pub more concerned for a drink for her dog!
After some reviving drinks and a few chips it was time for the DD Awards which were given to:-
WIGWAM for parking in the disabled bay
LAURA: one of the three new maids, for talking continuously all the way round!
FORREST did not know where he was until he hit his head on the sign post!
Georgy P'Orgy for her trail and her 300Runs badge
Piltdown for devising that excellent! Trail.
PS FALLEN WOMAN found the Snowball!
Well done the Hares for a great evening.
On to next week at Haldon Belvedere, OD Bishop Lacey confirmed with Wide Receiver
