While the rest of
the pack followed the correct trail around the Race Course, where I
found myself just about able to keep up with Wigwam and No69, but not
Pollyfella who came hurtling by.
A mile or so later
we emerged onto the Avenue at Newton Abbot, meeting up with Coldtitz
also in her Christmas outfit.
To the busy passing
traffic we must have looked like the Batman and Robin sketch from
Only Fools and Horses as we pounded along in our fancy dress outfits
then crossing the road at the B&Q roundabout.
At the Split here
Coldtitz decided to go longer, towards Jetty Marsh, with an eye on
her training time distance, while Wigwam and I decided the best
option for us injured athletes! was to take the shortest route back
to the pub. Discussing the problems facing Man. Utd after his
Liverpool team beat us last Sunday. (possibly solved as Mourinho has
been sacked today)
Tried to find out
more about what happen on the Long Trail from S.M.Ellie but she
wasn’t able to tell me much, although she had been there before was
not really sure where it was!
Back at the OD the
excellent raffle prizes had all been set up by Satnav, Able and
Soapy, with the Pack surveying the possible choices spread out
before them.
The tables rapidly
cleared once the tickets were selected, with the final item a tub of
cheese biscuits claimed by Wetfart, who was pleased to have it
for....his dog! ?
The DDs were awarded
to :-
MELLON PICKER the
electrician! who has hopefully fixed Piltdowns faulty lamp.
