A good gathering at our
Circle including all those hopeful investors waiting for a prize in our Draw, plus
one virgin Hasher introduced to us by Insatiable. The Blues Brothers had
re-introduced a Treasure Hunt into the Trail instructions were to lookout for “?”
symbol, when spotted on trail search around the area for Choc coins or tinsel
tags those finding these would be rewarded later ?
We were “On–on” on a trail
marked in “dog litter” or tinsel through the village and up and up the hacking
trails on a good clear evening. Eventually in a large field a commotion by a
tree where Wigwam had found the first tag …the pace gathered then but in the
wrong direction as the marks were on the left !
Back on Trail and down a
narrow track, another mark, but someone ahead had found this coin! on we go to
a “marker” but after almost dismantling someone’s drain and down pipe the mark
was identified as SW Water’s. Further on Rearender spotted pieces of foil
scattered which she collected as evidence but no choc coin! Up and down hill
the tinsel trail led us where there was more excitement, searching and some
lucky finders! then finally back down through dense woodland and On Home !
Inside the Church House Inn
Satnav had laid out a selection of excellent prizes ready for the Draw which
immediately prompted some last minute buying! But first the DDs were awarded to
Fallen Woman seen going to the wrong pub! to Piddler and Rearender for offences
which I can’t recall ?
Bluebird then presented his
prizes to the lucky winners in his treasure hunt.
Satnav also was rewarded for
her excellent work selling tickets and putting together such outstanding Draw prizes.
