A good turnout on a bright sunny evening for what was likely to be a testing trail from Forrest there were many returnees some unnamed as yet! Also making his return from down under (with many stories to tell) it was good to welcome back that small chap?MAVIS. As expected the trail was about 8 miles including many L/S splits to give you the opt out if needed , we pounded down and up hills through what seemed like residents gardens at Pooks Cottages across virgin farm land with some very steep gasping hills, an extra loop around Lowton Farm because the owner had managed to divert the footpath On On now to the sweet stop on top of Heltor Rock It was getting pretty dark by now, I was thankful that DRAG ACT had her head torch on to help WOODLEND and I follow the tricky trail to Carrapitt followed by a good long run in along the dark lanes to Bridford.
A great atmosphere in the Bridford Inn, where the landlord had put on a special Curry and chip meal for us very hungry Hasher's followed by the DD's which were awarded to:-
“69” for betting that the Sweet Stop was on Blackingstone Rock, it was Heltor.
DAMP PATCH- for peeing on the blackberries!
HARE FORREST- for his birthday Trail along with twin Hare HEIDI
REARENDER- her 300 Runs badge and a Co-Hare
MAVIS- a welcome back drink from that dog bowl once again !
NICK and NICKY- a naming but not sure what happened, they drank up anyway
ANDY from Dunsford an attempt to name him something which seemed to fail?
A very enjoyable evening well done to Forrest & Co
ON-ON to next week at the Carpenters Arms Ilsington with a Sangria stop but bring your torch its getting darker!
