#1663 Mon 31st Oct.was the HALLOWEEN HASH TRAIL from
the Route 5 Diner, Haldon Hill with a good turnout of our Hashers fully
dressed for a scary run, good to see visitors DIAMOND GEEZER, ALL the
WAY and PEACHES also with us. The Hares BOGGY, RAMBO and DORIS had laid a
devious trail through the forest with many checks and false trails
which kept RAMBO busy reshaping for future use possibly tomorrow! We
searched our way up and down tracks, leaping over fallen
branches, through water filled ditches on the well marked trail before
reaching tarmac. Surely Shirley RAMBO had not transformed into a road
runner on this spooky night? At a much needed Sweet Stop, after running
in heavy costumes, BOGGY was a scary but welcomed sight holding a large
selection of sweets. On-On again crunching through leaves scrambling up
banks including a long good paced run to keep the FRB's in trim, we
finally arrived after nearly 5 miles back at the Diner.
A fast
downhill drive from here brought us into Chudleigh where inside the
Bishop Lacey there was a welcoming choice of excellent beers some
sampled by PIDDLER before buying! The Fish & Chips were just about
consumed before WIDE RECEIVER conducted the Down-Downs, awarded to the
following offenders:-
TINY TANKS for making a marriage proposal to BOGGY for suddenly appearing with all of those delicious sweets.
DORIS (one of our longest serving Hashers) for calling PARAPRICK...POWERPRICK which I think he liked better!
ARCHANGEL for ....not getting his mouth around it?
PIDDLER for his Birthday was it 64th 74th....higher or lower ??
ZOOT for lost property from last week (well she did and does have to cope with poor HOTLIPS!)
A great trail and evening well done RAMBO, BOGGY and DORIS
